DoD & Public Safety
WSS is pleased to offer solutions that fulfill the DoD & First Responders needs for the next decade of operations.

The Department of Defense & Public Safety organizations are constantly seeking to upgrade their capabilities and realize any advantage that will enable the warfighter or first responder to accomplish the mission with greater efficiency, speed and safety. New communication technologies such as 5G, the internet of things (IoT) sensors, new power efficient designs for long battery life, advanced analytics, compute at edge, and more will revolutionize the way in which the DoD and Public safety operates. In addition, the viability of commercial silicon for performing these functions has enabled the creation of a new generation of products and capability for both the DoD & First Responders that was previously unimaginable. WSS is at the forefront of this revolution with solutions that encompass each of these varied components and together make up the integrated solution that the DoD and First Responders and other public safety practitioners require. These solutions fulfill requirements such as:
- Support for high & low (IoT) throughput communications
- Resilient and smart communications networks, including sophisticated network management
- Robust signal quality in the event of environmental interference
- Multi-band Frequency Agility
- Compute at the edge
- Local & remote monitoring of warfighter/first responder and asset health
- Highly mobile self-sufficient areas of coverage
- Analytics
WSS is pleased to offer solutions that fulfill the DoD & First Responders needs for the next decade of operations.
WSS Products

Telecoms are constantly searching for methods to increase capacity and coverage while ensuring that their business’ KPIs are met. They are constantly demanding a better environment for innovations so they are able to try out and to accelerate the introduction of new services, while keeping a lower total cost of ownership.

WSS’s 5G Macro-Proxy(Smart Relay) is used for reamplification of select downlink and uplink signals. In poor coverage areas, cellular signals can be weak, resulting in inadequate end-user device (EUD) function. This is particularly relevant for 5G and the poor propagation characteristics of some of its operating bands.
