Private Networks
Today’s mobile operator networks are overburdened due to the exponential increase in data traffic by today’s data hungry consumers.

While the amount of wireless traffic is increasing, competition is reducing profitability and average revenue per user (ARPU) in the commercial market. Coupled with the advent of new technologies such as the Internet of Things, vehicle to vehicle communications (autonomous driving), 5G NR and massive video streaming, operators are facing capacity deficits. In parallel, cellular communications initiatives that use unlicensed spectrum, dedicated licensed spectrum, or sub-leased operator spectrum at competitive rates are increasing.
These private initiatives possess the same functionality of a fully realized 5G cellular network without the costs, issues, hurdles, or vulnerabilities associated with large national operators.
Given these trends, the market finds itself at a unique inflection point because there is a fundamental need for connectivity everywhere. Without connectivity, all additional transformational technologies are limited and cannot be exercised to their full potential. Thus, there is a need for flexible and fluid, multi-purpose, dedicated private cellular networks designed to fit any application without the rigidity, capacity constraints, and costs synonymous with the entrenched mobile operators.
WSS is poised to fill that need with the following:
- Complete private network solutions for any customer across all vertical markets
- Deploying standalone broadband critical communications network
- Internet of things sensor data network

WSS’s 5G Macro-Proxy(Smart Relay) is used for reamplification of select downlink and uplink signals. In poor coverage areas, cellular signals can be weak, resulting in inadequate end-user device (EUD) function. This is particularly relevant for 5G and the poor propagation characteristics of some of its operating bands.
